Baseball Equipment Provisions

For the fields: many local rec organizations lack sufficient basic equipment to effectively run baseball games and tournaments. This can include items such as L-screens and stall mats for batting cages, portable pitching mounds, baseballs, helmets, base pads, netting, and field maintenance items.

For the kids: many parents have financial difficulty obtaining the necessary equipment for playing the game. The equipment includes fielders gloves, catchers gloves, catchers masks and protective gear, bats, helmets, soft spikes, metal spikes, batting gloves and bat/equipment bags.

UDACF works to obtain donations from baseball equipment vendors, retail stores, communities, and families to provide free equipment items for the community programs we support. In addition, we purchase items discounted for our non-profit status that are used for donations. We also provide gently used items that have been donated by CBC families.

From 2014-2015, over $8,500 in new equipment was donated to the Derita Athletic Association in Charlotte, NC. In addition, approximately $2,000 in gently used equipment was donated to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Activities League and other athletes in need within the organizations we serve.

In 2016 we have exceeded these equipment donations at over $22,000 to the organizations and athletes we support.
