Skills Camps for Kids

UDACF coaches and staff deliver structured multi-level instructional camps for young athletes. These camps include lecture time that focuses on teaching the fundamentals of game rules, play situations, athletic conditioning, arm care, and the importance of teamwork.

Camps include skill-development stations that teach throwing, catching, hitting, infield and outfield basics. Some camps include pitcher and catcher instruction.

Kids attending these camps get the chance to work closely with former Major League Baseball players – this is a very exciting experience that provides lasting impressions on these youth in addition to the skills they acquire during the camps.

In 2014, UDACF conducted two camps. Each camp was a 2-day event and these were held for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Activities League, and Derita Athletic Association. The value provided by the instructors, coaches, and space for these camps was worth almost $5,000.

Throughout 2015-2016, we have conducted instructional camps. These camps will be held for the Steele Creek Athletic association, Derita Athletic Association, Pineville Athletic Association, Park Sharon Rec Association, and the Hitting Zone Athletic Association. The value provided by the instructors, coaches, and space for these camps was worth almost $20,000.”
